Well, national chow-down day has come and gone. All the turkeys of the world can come out from hiding, the few that are left that is. We did our fair share of eating yesterday and cooking and eating and more cooking.
I think AF has gone and gotten some manners. I was expecting her the day before yesterday but she waited until I had duly chowed down and stuffed myself (it's always better overeating when your progesterone is cranked up and you can put away all that extra food that normally you couldn't) before making her appearance.
And, the good fairy spared me my brother-in-law's presence yesterday. Well, come to think of it it may have been the bad fairy. To make a long story short, he decided to hit the streets and blow his paycheck and in essence ditch us for Thanksgiving. That's the life of an impulsive retarded redneck for ya. But, we still had over his roommate, so we were treated to stories of his latest suicide attempts and viewings of the 'merchandise' he has managed to lift from unsuspecting shop owners. Oh to be retarded, collecting a check, and swindling society.
So, I have had a lovely quiet day, trimming the tree and standing in obscenely long lines waiting to buy items on sale. There's nothing like waiting two hours in Best Buy to buy a thumb drive while your cramps come on full force. Yep, life is okay today...it could only be better if I had seen two lines on that HPT yesterday.
*Sigh*

I am so sorry that AF came, but I am glad for you that she at least had some manners about it. Trimming the tree sounds quite nice. I love all seasonal and holiday *things* (though as more time passes since we started ttc, I find myself wanting to crawl into a cave when the actual holiday days come around). I don't know why, but I am *weak* when it comes to resisting the temptation to buy decorations. I get really into it...it's weird. So the opposite of my family of origin. Anyway, happy post-holiday. Yeah! We made it through!
