Fluced...

Frequent blog readers are probably familiar with the dooce phenomenon introduced poignantly by Heather B. Armstrong--you can read about it here in question one http://www.dooce.com/faq.html and http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dooced

I'm afraid I just might get fluced. Yes, I just got a note from my boss, the dean of the school, letting me know that the malaise that has caused me to miss work the last four days of this week has passed to him! Seriously, I won't get fluced because my boss is a great guy and a priest. You know, priests can't fire people when they are down and out, flu ridden, and struggling with Lupron and Estrace in their system...right?

Well, there may be more in my system than that. I almost expect when I go for a blood draw on Monday morning the nurse will call me back and say: "Uhhh, Joy, we found the following substances in your system: prenatal vitamin, lupron, estrace, ibuprofen, sudafed, Nyquil, Tylenol sinus tabs, pepcid ac, benadryl and aldomet."

Bona fide druggy who could get fluced...
