The Kirby Look...

I may have nausea, but being sick has its advantages...

Hubby has been a real trooper as of late. He cooks, cleans, and puts up with me--weeping one moment, yelling the next. There's nothing sexier than a man pushing a Kirby Ultimate G diamond edition vacuum cleaner...

Today we trucked back over to the IVF clinic for our follow-up to the positive hcg. We didn't bother to tell them we had already sorta peeked at the other military hospital. They whisked me in and hooked me up to the dog-gone-good ultrasound machine. Froggie was measuring 7wks 2 days and I am 7wks 3 days, so I'm not going quibble over 24 hours. We actually got to hear the heartbeat briefly and the doc *guesstimated* it to be around 140.

Aside from her comfort with *guesstimating,* at least she did do me the wonderful service of using words like "good, perfect, just right." This is a true rarety in the IVF gurus who usually only speak in terms of numbers. I actually walked out of there feeling good about where we are and where we hope to go.

So, I have been discharged to the O.B. clinic at the other military hospital. Now, the fun begins as I wait to see if we can get over the 10 week hurdle. I want to say that I feel confident, but that would be misleading. Perhaps I will say I feel a wee bit hopeful that we can make that hurdle.

Go froggie...

Peace and Joy to you...um...Joy. I was just strolling through some blogs and I ran across yours. I'm studying Theology in DC and I'm a southerner and I thought; "hey....them thar's my people!" Where do you teach?

Hey there,

I teach at Catholic University and work there as well. That is where I got my doctoral degree and I guess I've just gotten stuck there.
It's nice to have you drop by here! Where are you studying?
Peace be with you,
Joy
