I guess when you marry someone with eight grandchildren, it is always someone's birthday just around the corner. Yesterday was Aliza's day, a delightful twelve year old young lady...quiet but engaging, mindful but bold, a deep well of imagination.
Humorously, I look at the kids in our lives and think "yep, I'd like a daughter like that one...or, please Lord, not one like that..." That's the biggest mystery yet; meeting this little one growing inside (in due time of course) and discovering anew all his/her personality traits.
What an adventure indeed...
