37 weeks

Spring memories

At long last, the goal of 37 weeks has arrived. It is amazing and boring all at once.

Another weekly check-in with Dr. Nerdy Professor revealed all to be "normal" and good. Gabe is near 7lbs and passed his non-stress test (though they used a strange fog-horn device to wake him up for it). With the exception of the loud noises and monitoring intrusions, I think he is quite happy in there for now.

Of course, we now live in the limbo of anticipation. I have no indications of anything labor oriented happening at this point. A few braxton-hicks episodes here and there and some back aches that resolve on their own. I can't help but wonder how this labor adventure will get started and how it will turn out.

But, for the meantime, we're just hovering in gratitude and anticipation. I am tired of being pregnant, but happy for Gabe's well-being. I suspect my perserverance will be running thin in the days to come. Tomorrow will mark the 20 day countdown to the official due date...how wild!
