I had my check-in with Dr. Nerdy Professor. He did the internal (at long last) and seemed surprised to announce that I was 3-4cm dilated. However, he worried me by also announcing that my fundal measurement seemed low.
So, I was whisked off for an ultrasound and we found that Gabe is measuring well--this last estimate was 7lbs, 12 ozs though she said that might be tad bit high. Everything else looked good, so I was relieved.
After our usual non-stress test (which Gabe passed), the doc gave us our options: get induced tomorrow while all is well or wait another week and then if nothing has happened, get induced then. After the scare about fundal measurements, I opted for TOMORROW. I just want him out while all is okay.
I am nervous, excited, anxious, overjoyed and overwhelmed. Please pray that all goes well. They'll start me on Pitocin tomorrow at 11am and we may have our boy by tomorrow evening.
