Four weeks old already!

My baby is four weeks old already! And, tomorrow marks one month. Mercy, time does fly with these precious bundles. As hubby remarked, it seems like he has been with us forever and yet it was just yesterday that we brought him home.

Our days are busy but relatively peaceful. Our lil piggers eats a lot (breast feeds and bottle feeds=our compromise) and sleeps quite a bit. He has more moments of wide eyed wonder and we have recently observed him reaching out for toys and batting them on his playmat. Gabriel is a good baby and has us wrapped around his little fingers.

I want to remember these days always. Every moment of his discovery of the wide world (which right now to him is marked by a fascination with lights and the faces that feed him) is like magic to me. I pray that he finds our home loving and safe, always a haven in good times and bad.

I still marvel that he is ours--a most precious gift that we have waited and hoped for. He is so much more than my wildest dreams...a joy and gratitude I have never known so fully.
