Patches has yet to figure out why we had to go and get another baby. She was quite content to be the sole source of smooches in the house.
Overall, she has adjusted well. She has figured out our little routine and runs to meet me in bed at 10pm since Daddy is with Gabe for those ensuing hours. We play our usual games of batting one another, mouse under the covers, etc. And, she laps up Mommy's time since she has been surprisingly occupied for the last five weeks.
Other than that, Patches still maintains her post at the front door. She is on duty watching the squirrels and other critters in the front yard. When that tires her out, she is back to napping.
Ahhh, the life of a cat....

Adorable cat. She looks so cranky, but glad to see that she is adjusting well to the new little one in the house.
