Just got back from my second portraiture class. Wow, there sure is a lot to learn. Tonight the prof brought in his portable studio backdrop and hot lights. We shot at different lighting angles and explored light metering, f-stop variations, etc. My head is spinning with ideas and the motivation to learn more. It is so exciting to jump into something feet first and to wallow around in curiosity. More and more I want to explore the idea of a home studio and small business.
But, I need to settle the old brain down and get to bed. Tomorrow we have an early morning appointment with Dr. Reproductive Specialist. I'm hoping that goes well and that our future plans won't break the bank.
Having fun these days...sometimes it seems too good to be true.

Just wanted to say I discovered your blog last night and enjoyed catching up while waiting to go into labor w/baby number two any day now (baby number one is almost 9, so it's good to read about baby years again). Congratulations on your beautiful boy, and love your photographs. I do have to mention that you make me feel old :) as I'm 36 and we're talking vaguely about another baby after this one (this baby is DH's first)-but I am pretty darn sure I won't be ready when baby is three months old. You're a brave woman!
