Grip

A tight grip...

My two men have a tight grip on my heart. Moments like this above are why I married my husband. He is as enamoured by Gabe as I am and is doing a fantastic job helping me out with parenthood duty.

Every night I go to bed around 10pm and leave hubby to do the 10-2am shift. As I roll over during my four hours of deep sleep, I hear hubby in there chatting away with Gabe. My heart is warmed and I roll over back to my dreams.

We have vowed to enjoy every minute of Gabe's life. We're not waiting on the next phase to be better; we're trying to enjoy the here-and-now and realize that it will go all too quickly.

So, as I type this, Gabe sits in his bouncy seat enjoying the sweet vibrations. I can only imagine that with a gassy stomach that it is somewhat soothing.

Life is simple and sweet these days. Lots of work, that's a given. But, oh so precious.

That picture is SO sweet!! Gabe is such a cutie, and your hubby is a love for stepping up (Sal takes Daddying as seriously as I take Mommying, and it's made the experience so much better for all of us!).

A word on the vibrations seat: it's a Godsend...it brings out the gas every time. It also serves to bring out something else, which is why it is now and will forever be called: the poopy seat. I don't know what we'd do without it.

You are so right in choosing to enjoy the moment. I look at Simon and can't believe how different and big he is. Oh, enjoy that precious babe. I'm so happy for you.
