S'cuse me son, are those dimples I see?

This kid cracks me up. The first time I saw his gas-induced infant smile, I thought he would just light up the whole world. As I walked him around in Cracker Barrel last night, he cooed and smiled at those passing by and I loved seeing their faces light up when they saw him.

We have had a crazy week. The prodigal Dad returned and his brother has been here visiting us. In contrast to the image of the lovely southern woman, dripping with hospitality, I am an introvert who needs her space. Our visitor will leave in a few hours and it will be none too soon for me.

All of this makes me realize how much I like my life just like it is. I married my hubby because he is one of the rare people I have met that I can be around all of the time without going stark raving mad. When he returned this week, grinning ear to ear, happy to be back to our little world, I thanked God for all of our blessings...especially for our chubby cheeked boy with budding dimples.

I start my photography classes this week and I am excited for that. I only take about forty to fifty pictures of our dimpled baby every day, so I hope to learn how to perfect that hobby. I hope it will be fun.

So much is stirring on our horizon. First and foremost is giving Gabe a sibling. I dread the stress of IVF and whatnot, but I am also excited about being on the way. I have about ten pounds to go in my weight loss goal and I hope to be seeing the reproductive doc very soon. I can't believe I am so excited to jump into pregnancy again.

Life is full of wonderful surprises! I am grateful to be surprised by this joy.

Thanks, Krista. I think I need tips from you, not vice versa. Your photos are gorgeous and of course your subjects are too cute.
